Shubhanshu Vidyut

The Founder

I didn’t arrive here through a studio job or a film school. I arrived through observation: watching how stories land on an audience, and where they quietly fall apart. Writing began as expression. Over time it became precision, saying exactly what the story demands and nothing it doesn’t.

I have worked across screenplays, feature films and Web series, lyrics, long-form narrative, and a published book. Each form taught the same lesson from a different side: structure is what makes emotion believable.

I came to see writing less as isolated creativity and more as a collaborative craft, one that has to survive development, execution, and interpretation without losing its core. A director, an actor, a line producer, and an investor will each read the same script differently. My job is to write, and now to advise, so that the work holds up under all of those readings.

The Origin Story

The work changed the question I was asking. It stopped being “does this script read well?” and became “what happens to this script when a director, a budget, a schedule, and an investor all get hold of it?” A script can read beautifully and still fail once production and reality enter the room, and by then the money has already moved.

At the same time, I was writing about the business of entertainment: how studios are structured, how IP earns across its life, what the economics of an industry actually reward. My long-form research on the global animation economy came out of that work. Writing stories and studying the money behind them started to feel like one discipline, not two.

That is how this practice began. Too often, the people funding film IP are asked to trust a script and a projection that were never tested against each other. I built this practice to test both together, before capital commits.

Today it offers five services: shooting-ready screenplays, script consulting, film research, trade and business projection, and marketing strategy. I’m also associated with a feature film in active development, alongside several independent projects at different stages, which keeps the advice grounded in what production actually asks of a script.

The Approach

Selective by design. I collaborate selectively and take on a limited number of engagements at a time, so each one gets full attention.

Evidence over opinion. Recommendations arrive with their reasoning and sources, not taste alone.

Direct. Findings are specific and prioritized. If a script isn’t ready, or a project doesn’t need all five services, I’ll say so.

A clear process. Every engagement starts with a discovery conversation, followed by a written proposal covering scope, approach, and timeline. From there, work moves in structured milestones, and you deal with me directly throughout.
