The Writer
I’m Shubhanshu Vidyut, a screenwriter and lyricist working across cinema, long-form storytelling, and narrative-driven projects. My work focuses on stories where emotion is earned through structure, and meaning emerges through action rather than explanation.
I’m interested in characters placed under pressure situations where choices carry cost and consequence. Whether writing a screenplay or a song, my approach remains grounded in narrative discipline, emotional authenticity, and clarity of intent. I believe strong writing respects both the audience’s intelligence and the realities of production.
I don’t view writing as isolated creativity. I see it as a collaborative craft one that must survive development, execution, and interpretation without losing its core.
The Practice
My journey into writing was shaped less by formal instruction and more by observation, lived experience, and sustained practice. Over time, writing shifted from expression to precision from saying more to saying exactly what the story demands.
I’ve worked across stories, lyrics, and long-form narratives, including a published book and multiple original projects developed for film and music. Currently, I’m associated with a feature film in active development, alongside several independent concepts and scripts at different stages of execution.
Each phase of work has reinforced a central principle:
a script doesn’t succeed because it reads well on paper it succeeds because it holds up when production, collaboration, and reality enter the room.
The Perspective
My writing operates at the intersection of emotion and structure. I believe the strongest stories don’t announce their themes they allow them to surface through decision, conflict, and consequence.
I’m drawn to narratives that trust silence as much as dialogue, and restraint as much as intensity. Whether it’s a screenplay or a lyric, my focus is always on narrative integrity, tonal consistency, and emotional truth that feels lived-in rather than performed.
I collaborate selectively and write with intent. My goal is not to create content that disappears after consumption, but stories that endure because they’re built with clarity, discipline, and respect for the craft.
